bernd (kyky) bomholt born march 9, 1960 in werne (westfalen) began playing the guitar at 15 years of age and then started composing predominantly socially critical songs in german.

his first experience in a band was from 1978 in the schoolband „anachros“.

during his studies to become a building engineer and the following years of his career, kyky lost touch with music. however, in the fall of 2005, he, leadl, sticky and a another musician formed the rockband „tinitus“. this group envolved into „magic ground“ in april 2007.

as well as playing the guitar, he began to learn more toward playing the keyboard and also became the lead singer.

kyky‘s favourite music is melody rock. his hobbies, aside his family and music, include traveling to scandinavian countries.
